BLACK CROWES TO GIVE PROCEEDS FROM OCTOBER 7 MUD ISLAND AMPHITHEATRE SHOW IN MEMPHIS TO HURRICANE KATRINA VICTIMS

THE BLACK CROWES
, together with their Memphis promoter, Don Fox at Beaver Productions, will dedicate their performance and all proceeds from their October 7 show at the Mud Island Amphitheatre to people who’ve been misplaced by Hurricane Katrina. Fans attending the show in Memphis will be encouraged to donate canned food and clothing, the distribution of which Beaver Productions will oversee.

The band’s longtime manager Pete Angelus (Angelus Entertainment) says, “We have all been profoundly saddened and deeply moved by the tragic events that recently unfolded in the Gulf Coast. In that regard, this will be the first of many efforts made by The Black Crowes—and as many of the ‘Amoricans’ in their loyal fan base that care to be included—to reach out and help the victims of Hurricane Katrina and their families.”

Don Fox, whose home office in New Orleans was decimated in the flood, added: “Beaver Productions has been part of the Memphis and New Orleans music scene for many years and we are very proud to be working with The Black Crowes to help the victims of Katrina.”
